Job Description

BlackRock is seeking a talented software developer to join the Quantitative Analytics Engineering (QAE) team. The role involves designing and developing Java components using the latest features, contributing to the development of security analytics infrastructure, and collaborating with investment teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java components using the latest features.
• Develop high-performance, secure, production-quality code.
• Take full ownership of the code from development to maintenance.

Required Skills

• 1–2 years of experience with Java (Java 17+ preferred).
• Solid experience in Java, Python, Microservices, and related frameworks.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development principles and data structures.
• Experience with relational databases and good SQL knowledge.
• Experience with multi-threaded, distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, Git, and Continuous Integration.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with C++ is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exposure to investment banking and finance domain is desirable.
