Job Description

Deloitte is hiring for the position of Data Engineer – Senior Analyst in Hyderabad, India. The role involves analyzing, planning, designing, developing, and implementing Azure Data Engineering solutions to meet strategic, usability, performance, reliability, control, and security requirements of data science processes. The candidate should have demonstrable knowledge in areas of Data Engineering, AI/ML, Data Warehousing, and reporting applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and IT leaders to integrate predictive and prescriptive analytics within business processes.
• Decompose complex business problems into manageable components for holistic solutions.
• Develop and refine prototypes and proofs of concept, presenting results to stakeholders.
• Engage in data analysis, generating and testing hypotheses, and applying statistical methods.
• Develop project plans, including resource needs and task dependencies.
• Define project scope, objectives, and quality controls for new projects.
• Assist in recruiting and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

Required Skills

• Advanced level experience in Azure Data Engineering.
• Expertise in development, deployment, and monitoring of ADF pipelines using Visual Studio and browsers.
• Expertise in Azure Databricks internal programming using PySpark, SparkR, and SparkSQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, R, and SQL (SQL for HANA, MS SQL).
• Hands-on experience in visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Experience with data science studios such as Dataiku, Azure ML Studio, or Amazon SageMaker.
