Job Description

Enphase Energy is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Sales Operations team in Bangalore. The role involves sourcing, preparing, and analyzing large datasets to uncover patterns that optimize sales operations. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining advanced analytics programs, machine learning models, and statistical methods for predictive and prescriptive modeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, proficiency in data analysis, mathematics, and statistics, and experience with machine learning and predictive analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models and machine-learning algorithms for sales forecasting, territory planning, quota allocation, and sales process optimization.
• Create SKU-level demand forecasts using demand patterns, business trends, and advanced ML models to drive forecast accuracy and operational metrics.
• Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes.
• Preprocess structured and unstructured data for analysis.
• Analyze large datasets to discover trends and patterns related to sales operations.
• Develop models and algorithms to optimize sales resource allocation and performance.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
• Present findings using data visualization techniques.
• Communicate and collaborate across departments, including sales, finance, supply planning, pricing, and PLM teams.
• Forecast inventory levels and identify excesses or shortages using ML models.
• Enhance scalability of sales operations processes by implementing supply chain tools and automation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficiency in data manipulation using Python, AWS, SQL, and MS Excel.
• Expertise in predictive analytics and application of ML concepts to solve supply chain problems.
• Understanding of machine learning and operations research.
• Experience with SFDC, Oracle Cloud, QlikView/Tableau, or Incorta is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound business judgment.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
