Job Description

Razorpay is seeking a skilled Analytics Specialist to join their central analytics team. The role involves working with large, complex data sets to solve high-impact business problems using data mining, experimentation, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment aimed at creating significant impact and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large, complex data sets to solve open-ended, high-impact business problems using data mining, experimentation, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
• Develop a strong understanding of the business and product, conduct analysis to derive insights, develop hypotheses, and validate them using rigorous methodologies.
• Apply excellent problem-solving skills to independently scope, deconstruct, and formulate solutions from first principles, bringing in outside-in and state-of-the-art perspectives.
• Be closely involved with the product life cycle, working on ideation, reviewing Product Requirement Documents, defining success criteria, instrumenting product features, assessing impact, and recommending improvements.
• Expedite root cause analyses and insight generation against recurring use cases through automation and self-serve platforms.
• Develop compelling stories with business insights, focusing on the strategic goals of the organization.
• Collaborate with Business, Product, and Data Engineering teams for continuous improvement of data accuracy through feedback and scoping on instrumentation.

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of high-quality hands-on experience in analytics and data science.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Looker, etc.
• Ability to structure and analyze data using techniques like Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Cohort analysis, Funnel analysis, and transform them into actionable recommendations.
• Hands-on experience working with large-scale structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including preprocessing/cleansing and dimensionality reduction.
• Working knowledge of A/B testing, significance testing, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, web analytics, and statistical learning.
• Experience in consumer-tech organizations is a plus.
