Job Description

Swiss Re is seeking a Data Analyst I to join their team in Bangalore. The role involves analyzing existing tools and databases, providing software solution recommendations, and identifying trends and patterns in complex data sets. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Power BI, MS Power Query, DAX, Python, R, and experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark. Exposure to the Palantir platform is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing tools and databases to provide software solution recommendations.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
• Draw conclusions and make recommendations to management to improve operational performance.
• Proficient in data visualization using applications such as Power BI, Macro, and VBA.
• Collaborate with teams in financial reporting/accounting, ideally involving knowledge of key processes and insights into these processes via data.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Power BI, MS Power Query, DAX, Python, R, and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with teams in financial reporting/accounting.
• Exposure to the Palantir platform is advantageous.
